Tools of the trade for every stage hand in the industry.

Union members are expected to bring the following customary tools when they report for a call.

General:  All employees are expected to typically bring the following tools when they work at a call:

  • Adjustable wrench with safety lanyard
  • Flat head screwdriver
  • Philips head screwdriver
  • Pliers
  • Knife
  • (multitool would satisfy each of the above)
  • Claw hammer
  • Tape measure
  • Flashlight
  • Gloves
  • Sharpie
  • "Blacks" for show calls
Electrician:  In addition to the tools on the General List, an employee called to work as an electrician is expected to bring the following tools:
  • Crimper Tool
  • Diagonal Cutters
  • Test Light
  • Multimeter

Carpenter:  In addition to the tools on the General List, an employee called to work as a carpenter is expected to bring the following tools:

  • Channel locks
  • Wonderbar
  • Speed Square
Wardrobe:  In addition to the tools on the General List, an employee called to work as wardrobe is expected to bring the following tools:

  • Basic Repair Kit, including scissors, needle, thread, safety pins

Rigger:  In addition to the tools on the General List, an employee called to work as rigger is expected to bring the following tools:

  • Tool satchel that is safe and can be tied off
